Andre Cadere’s practice was to leave wooden sculptures like this one behind in other people’s exhibitions. That’s why in the exhibition SPIRITS OF INTERNATIONALISM this little sculpture has been placed in a corner, on the floor, since this is exactly how the artist would have presented it. He would have come to the show and carried it with him, so everybody would have seen him with it, and then he would leave it behind on a corner of the space.
