Frank Theys
A figure wakes up in the middle of the night and is afraid that he is suffering from a heart attack. Night Fever is a portrait of someone with a panic disorder. The film installation shows a person who sits imprisoned in his own house, his own world, a place where his fears are growing and he uncertainly asks help from the outside world. All the elements – the image, its positioning, the sound and the installation – cooperate in transmitting this oppressive and haunting experience to the viewer. With the help of a multi-screen installation and his assembly techniques, Theys wants to let the public creep into the head of the character.
