The exhibition project Middle Gate II – The Story of Dymphna is a collaboration between M HKA (Museum of Contemporary Art Antwerp) and the cultural centre de Werft in Geel. Middle Gate II is the follow up to the exhibition Middle Gate, curated by Jan Hoet in Geel in 2013. The exhibition concept is closely tied to the legend of the holy Dymphna, saint of the possessed, the mentally ill and patroness against epilepsy and insanity. The legend of Dymphna shares a strong connection to the identity of Geel, "the charitable city".

MesuRAGE du Centre George Pompidou, Paris , 1977
Performance

This particular event took place at the Centre George Pompidou in Paris in 1977, year the Centre opened. As the documentation indicates, the action took place on December 2, beginning at 5:15 p.m. and ending around 6:00 p.m. ORLAN set her easel on the mezzanine overlooking the forum and then headed to the upper floors to continue her action in the rooms of the Musée National d’Art Moderne, then featuring an exhibition on public collections of the modern art in France, specifically devoted to three cities and three collections: Grenoble, Marseille, and Saint-Etienne. The place and date of this MeasuRAGE were therefore doubly strategic.
