Literary synopsis
Crimeways tells the tale of New York under siege by an underground band of aesthetic criminals who threaten to destroy a landmark in the name of art. Attempts are made to save the city from these artistic fascists and their bad taste. Crimeways is the third book in the Ways series – anthologies of anonymously written stories which, put together, are "novels" that challenge traditional notions of narrative genres. In this case, the detective novel. Conceived by conceptual artist Rita McBride the book is co-published by Printed Matter, the Whitney Museum of American Art and Arsenal Pulp Press.
